Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all! Hope you had a blessed holiday with your family and friends. I went to church in the beautiful, sunny & warm weather and then had a very peaceful and relaxing afternoon. I was looking forward to a quiet day after all of the traveling I did recently.

The Copic Certification class (back on Sunday, March 21) was very good and I learned so much. I got so many tips from Sally Lynn and was already able to share lots of them with you in our Copics class this past Thursday. And I'm so happy that your cards came out so nice in that class! You can tell that all of you are truly enjoying your Copic markers.

Then, Soni, Barbara and I were off to Boston for the Annual Spring Retailers Show put on by the Collins Group (3/25 - 3/28). Lots of classes, workshops, Make & Take night, and catching up with other shop owners. It was lots of work and very tiring, but oh so very worth it!

Here is just a small sample of what we made. The first card, was done with one of the new stamps from Outlines. Their new line includes several flowers that you can layer and a few large background stamps featuring swirls and leaves. You can stamp these flowers and color them with your Copics, pencils or chalks. Or, you can stamp the flowers on printed card stock and take it from there.

This and the next card were made in the Impression Obsession Workshop. We made 10 shaker cards! Even though Soni nor I didn't complete all of them, we'll have them all on a display board in the shop very soon!

Mitra, the owner of Impression Obsession came up with very creative ideas to fill the various pouches! We filled the coffee card with real coffee! And the card below was filled with these beads that looked like air bubbles in the fish bowl.
Other cards were filled with sand, confetti, and even sugar sprinkles that are used on baked goods! I am sure that you too, will have fun making shaker cards. (And they're so easy to make now with these plastic, self adhesive pouches.)
And this card was made with Stacy's new poppy stamp! So simple, yet very pretty. The poppy can be easily cut and layered with foam tape to give it dimension.

I also video taped Stacy (owner of Stacy Stamps) making this card. Check back in a day or two and I should have the video uploaded.
Now, this was just a fun picture of us! We're ready to pack up the car and you can see that our cart is full to the brim! We only took one suitcase each.......but then, .....each of us had a large knapsack of supplies that we needed for classes.......and then of course all the samples we made, catalogs, goodie bags and totes, our cooler and leave it to Barbara......she even brought a sewing machine so that she could work between classes!!!

All in all it was a great weekend! I'll post more samples, once I scan them. And I hope you'll get a chance to stop by the shop and see them up close and personal.....they always look better in real life.

Speak to you soon,
Anna
